Daisy Woehrle was born in 1960 in Carinthia, Austria. Here fascination with art began at a very early age and all those that saw her work, knew she was destined to become the exceptional performer she is today!
In 1975 Daisy's first exhibition that landscape paintings in watercolors at the University for Art in Carinthia. She was only 15 years of age yet her teachers knew she displayed exceptional talent. At the age of 19, Daisy studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. She was a fine arts student of Ernst Fuchs; an Austrian painter and graphic artist (Founder of Fantastic Realism; A Vienna School to further develop, Willy Art in acrylic).
Daisy moved to Russia in 1983 and exhibited her work throughout the county as early as 1984. These locations were: Radolfzell, Petrozavodsk, Stuttgart, Leipzig, Berlin and Freiburg.
Daisy Woehrle has a style that is unique and free-spirited. Most of her paintings are abstract expressionism however; she is also known to create abstract impressionism with oils, acrylic has become, various brushes, spatulas, sponge rollers and her hands! “The perception of an artist's space is their imaginary image and this is transformed with color to create a new image. To elaborate, the most intense expression is through color intensity, the multi-layered design and the impression of the complete composition. The greatest artist influences for Daisy's work has been max Beckmann, Oskar Kokoschka, Paul Gauguin and Claude Monet. Daisy's work is always evolving and she is continually eager to learn new techniques.
In 2003 Daisy continued her studies at the Academy of Art The Hague, Netherlands and has exhibited her work ongoing nationally and internationally. Since 2006, because of Daisy's love for children, she decided to conduct private painting courses on weekends. Daisy realizes that many children have the need to artistically express themselves and it is important to assist them to develop these skills while they are still young.
